Boatshed Cowes Doubles in Size in a Year and launches new office
The owner of Boatshed Cowes, Frank Gelder, will be opening a new office in Yarmouth on 20th December. This second office, which will run in conjunction with his existing business in Clarence Boatyard, will offer boat owners in the west of the Island more choice when it comes to yacht brokerage.
Frank Gelder launched Boatshed Cowes in November 2007 and since then has seen his business literally double in size. As the “Island’s Favourite Broker” Frank has made a name for himself by being the only yacht broker to personally visit and photograph every boat on his books. From fishing boats to million pound motor cruisers, the market for used boats on the Isle of Wight is buoyant and Frank is looking forward to the launch of Boatshed Cowes (Yarmouth office).
Frank said “It has only taken a year for my Boatshed business to take off and people seem to appreciate my take on traditional yacht brokerage. I visit and photograph every boat I sell so that I can really get under the skin of the vessel before marketing it on the internationally renowned Boatshed website. Owners know that the people coming to view their boats are serious and buyers know before they make the trip to the Island that the boat they are coming to see suits all their criteria.”
Boatshed Cowes (Yarmouth office) will be run by Richard Coles – actually a former customer of Frank’s! Richard was clearly impressed by the service so when the offer of a new Boatshed office came up, he jumped at the chance to man the helm.
