Offshore Yachts are built with solid hand laid structural fiberglass below the waterline and laminated with end grain Baltek balsa coring above the waterline. A strong hull-to-deck joint combines with a structural upper rub rail to provide for excellent strength.
A long shallow keel, low profile, low center of gravity and substantial displacement result in a gentle easy motion, directional stability and excellent all-around boat handling characteristics in challenging sea conditions.
Stainless steel fresh water and holding tanks.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify measures and capacities, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

This yachtfisher design features spacious accommodations in two sleeping cabins with a double berth in each cabin, and a raised main salon and a lower main cabin space with galley, convertible dinette, and guest head compartment. Headroom inside is 6' 4".
Entering from the aft cockpit through a teak door and down two steps you will find the master stateroom with ensuite head to starboard. The head includes a Vacuflush toilet, sink, storage cabinets, towel and linen cabinet, and separate shower. The walk-around master berth features a new queen size memory foam mattress. Fresh water stainless steel tankage, for over 200 gallons, is under the berth. Under the berth is an access door to the water tank valves and safety lights on each side. A large double door hanging locker provides ample storage of the owners’ clothes. On the port side is a large drawer cabinet, with smoke-glass mirror. Each side of the master berth has a cabinet for reading lights and storage drawers. A large opening window to the cockpit provides excellent ambient light and ventilation.
The interior of the boat is heated using portable electric space heaters operating on shore power or generator AC power; there is no central diesel furnace or heater installed. Aft of the head/shower are 2 cabinets for storage, with 2 storage drawers. Two after cabinets could be used for washer/dryer and/or air conditioner.
You will notice throughout the boat the use of fine rich teak and the excellent joinery work. With only two corner built-in cabinets the owners are able to furnish to best suit their needs. On port there is a double recliner love seat. Adjacent is a multi-functional high-low, multi-leaf table that can be easily raised and lowered to afford a generous cocktail table, end table or raised and opened for dining. On the salon port, aft, is a built-in entertainment center, with smoke glass mirror. The cabinet includes one storage area; center area with 110v ice maker and to the centerline side of the cabinet is the Sony stereo system and Outback 80A solar controller.
On salon starboard you will find another two comfortable occasional chairs, a coffee table, and television cabinet. The television cabinet houses the 42” Samsung flat panel TV, with custom manual slider to raise and lower the TV for underway stowage. Under the cabinet is amble room for stowage of DVDs, CDs, etc. The aft starboard end is a cabinet for storage. Although there is some water staining evident in places this is the result of a previous issue that has been corrected and the cabin is dry with no water leakage concerns.
The salon cabin sole opens to the engine room with four removable teak hatches for complete access. The engine room can also be accessed through a forward lower access door without the need to open the floor hatches. Overhead in the engine room are four bright LED light fixtures.
In the salon a large double window aft provides light from the sundeck. Large opening windows on each side, windows in each door and three forward windows gives great ambient light and visibility.
The aft end of the salon has an elegant 5 step stair up to the double doors leading to the spacious sundeck and a 2 step stair down to the Master’s cabin.
The forward end of the salon has an inside helm station to starboard, with complete instrumentation, engine controls, throttle and transmission levers. Access to the side decks is through sliding doors on each side, with safety lights under each step. On the port side is an entertainment counter/bar with liquor/wine storage. Two steps down takes you to the galley, forward head, guest berth and engine room access under the stairs.
The down galley, forward on port, provides more than ample counter space to prepare meals underway or at anchor. To starboard is a dinette, with sitting room for 4. This dinette lowers for a sleeping berth. The galley has storage space in cabinets, under the cabin sole and under the settee seats. Two overhead hatches and four opening ports provide excellent ventilation and ambient light and additionally there are six fans throughout the boat. Three 48” LED strip lights provide counter lighting for the galley. The dinette is lighted with four side lights and 2 overhead dome lights, with LEDs.
Forward of the galley is a head to port, with pocket door, sink, Vacuflush toilet and shower. Continuing forward, through a privacy door, is the guest offset double berth with hanging locker. Ample storage is under the berth and cabinets. Access to the anchor chain is through doors at the forward end of the guest cabin. The 550 feet of anchor chain is stowed below the floor area for optimized weight distribution.

The Offshore 48 Yachtfisher was designed by William Crealock, the legendary designer of Westsail and Pacific Seacraft offshore sailboats. He designed this hull for offshore cruising under power, and our boat has proven successful in voyaging to Mexico over a four year period. Our boat is equipped with critical systems for self-sustained powerboat cruising such as an on-board fuel polishing system, solar and wind power generation systems, FloScan dual engine fuel management system, NEW Simrad broadband radar and a current suite of navigation electronics, redundant smart battery charging systems, water maker, and massive ground tackle and anchoring hardware to name just a few of many thoughtful upgrades. The owner has maintained meticulous records which show a systematic approach to vessel ownership and use. The boat is elegant inside, with teak and holly floors, extensive varnished teak cabinetry and trim, and multiple private spaces for living, all within 48 feet. Outboard, a NEW full canvas enclosure protects the flybridge and sun deck, and a roomy cockpit for fishing or boat handling make the boat even bigger in usable space. If you are looking for a very capable USCG Documented offshore cruising powerboat with current systems and equipment, this boat will serve you well.
UPDATE: in January 2019 the owner will be proactively upgrading and improving the mechanical systems to keep the boat in top condition for the next owner. This work includes over $10K in upgrades to exhaust systems, engine and transmission cooling systems, and engine servicing. In addition, a replacement generator will be ordered and installed. For a serious buyer, there is an option to specify the generator model at this time. Showings by appointment in January will be in coordination with this mechanical work.
