The Baba 35, also known as a Flying Dutchman 35, is a double ended cutter-rigged offshore design by Robert Perry. This design has evolved from the time Colin Archer designed double enders of the North Seas pilot and rescue vessels. A time honored proven heavy seas design adapted to modern building techniques. Though designed as a cutter, currently it is being sailed as a sloop. The stay and sta' sail is available should the next owner desire to change back to a cutter rig.
This particular boat has had a single owner since new in 1979 -- how rare is that? A viewing of the boat will confirm the high level of maintenance provided by the owner and his associates. During the winter months the boat has been under a full cover. The Baba 35 is well known for solid construction, beautiful teak interiors, comfortable accommodations and good sailing characteristics. Though the design parameters mention "serious offshore cruise" no claim is being made as to currently ready for such use.
