The Neptune 41 is a Dutch-designed, 41' (LOA 44') English-built fiberglass cruising sailboat. The hull and topsides are finished with Awlgrip. She was built in 1979 to Lloyd's 100A1 requirements and has been professionally maintained since. She is ketch-rigged and heavily-built with a large, reliable Perkins engine. The current owners purchased the boat in 1982, lived aboard for 25 years and have cruised her from the Scottish Isle of Skye to Gibraltar, into the western Med, across the Atlantic, through the Caribbean, up and down the East Coast from Florida to Maine and for the last decade in the Pacific Northwest from Seattle to Glacier Bay, Alaska. This past summer they spent 2-1/2 months circumnavigating Vancouver Island. This is a serious, long range cruiser in "Bristol" condition having been actively and generously maintained for safe and reliable voyaging.

The main deck is covered in teak, in excellent condition and it is noteworthy that the decks are solid fiberglass so there are no worries of issues with coring material.

Next aft is a U-shaped galley to starboard with built in fridge-freezer in the aft counter, 3-burner propane stove/oven, stainless double sink, microwave and toaster oven. Opposite the galley to port is a sitting area that makes up into two bunks with lee boards or cloths.

Up two steps aft is the main salon with the lower steering station, small settee, electrical panel and fireplace to port and a large U-shaped settee to starboard with a large, fold-out teak dining table. The helm wheel is currently not fitted at the lower steering station and a Dickenson diesel heating stove is installed there. Engine controls and instruments are still functional. Aft of the steering station and opposite the settee is a full-sized chart table with ample flat chart storage and full electronics suite permanently mounted. This main salon features above deck windows with blinds all around for great visibility. The engine and battery compartments are easily accessible under the floor.

Commentaires du Broker

This Van de Stadt - designed Neptune 41 Ketch is a proven heavy-duty long range cruiser owned and maintained by a dedicated and knowledgeable cruising couple for the past 32 years (living aboard for the first 25 years) with extensive sailing from the UK, Mediterranean, Atlantic, US East Coast, Caribbean, US West Coast, and PNW to Alaska. While the model may be unfamiliar, she's a pedigreed boat having been Dutch-designed and English-built to Lloyd's 100A1 requirements and she appears in Bristol condition. She feels incredibly solid underfoot and is quite accommodating with lots of interior light, two heads, a roomy saloon, and separate forward and aft cabins.
