All Amel hulls and decks are built to world class offshore standards. Even the forward section of the vessel has a watertight bulkhead with watertight door in the event of a collision.
In 2014 the keel was stripped to bare metal, cleaned, faired and covered with five coats of "Rust Lock" and 2 coats of Micron 66 bottom paint. The bottom was painted again in 2022 with two coats of Sea Hawk.
The under water hull section was stripped of gel coat and recovered with two part epoxy in 2008.
The hull sides were repainted with Awlgrip in 2010 and the cabin decks were repainted with two part epoxy.
Hull design is Fin Keel with skeg.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

The entrance to the interior is through the mid cockpit. The cockpit has a hard dodger with a waterproof cover with2 side windows.
Moving into the interior you find the galley to port and nav station to starboard. The galley has an Isotherm front-loading fridge and a top loading freezer. The freezer has a new compressor and evaporator in 2021. The fridge was converted from water cooled to air cooled because the air cooling uses less power. It can be reversed for tropical cruising. The stove is a Force 10 propane two burner with oven.
Forward of the galley is a large convertible dinette with a centerline mahogany table with fold up leaf.
Forward of the nav station is a bench seat. The entrance to the forward head and guest stateroom is just off center to starboard.
A propane catalytic cabin heater is located on the starboard forward saloon bulkhead. Cabin heat and cooling is also supplied by a single 16,000 BTU Air Marine A/C unit.
The boat is wired and ducted for diesel heat but there is no heat unit.
There is a water tight bulkhead at the entrance to the guest stateroom if there is damage to the forward section of the vessel and it is flooded this will keep the vessel afloat.
Back in the saloon, aft of the nav station is the companionway to the master stateroom and head. The stateroom has an off-center double berth with a vanity table with stool and mirror..
There is extensive storage volumes through out the boat.

Commentaires du Broker
5 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 134 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS & BROKER'S COMMENTS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS AMEL MARAMU!
If you want to sail the world, this may be the vessel for you. The 46' Amel Maramu Ketch was designed and built to do exactly that. When you look for similar models they are located all over the world. This French-built boat has crossed the Atlantic twice and cruised the islands of the Caribbean for several years. The present owner purchased this boat in the British Virgin Islands and after a lot of sailing shipped it to Washington.
As well as being rated as one of the top 12 boats for world cruising it has all the liveaboard comforts needed for all climates. Starting with a new Cummins engine installed in 2009... a Northern Lights generator rebuilt in 2015... in-mast furling for both the main and mizzen... diesel forced air heat and reverse cycle heat/ air.
One final special piece of equipment -- a retractable bow thruster!
Several pages of maintenance records are available.
