This boat has been viewed and photographed by Peter Watt of Boatshed Portsmouth. Register or log in to see 50 more photos of this boat. I am usually very cautious when approaching the subject of wooden boats. That said, whilst darting about on this 1966 wooden motor-sailer I found myself being won over by the light and airy feel, bright colours and general feeling of space. The owner has clearly spent a great deal of time getting things "just so", but that means minimal work for the next owner to keep on top of maintenance. I got a bit carried away and ended up snapping off fifty shots with the camera to make visual note of all of the details that were noteworthy. The engine room and bilges were if anything, a tiny bit dusty. Great news to find that rare commodity in a bilge, normally there is too much water and gunge for dust to accumulate. Wherever you look on board you will find fresh varnish and new paint in abundance. If you have been tempted from time to time to consider a wooden boat, but whenever you go to view them they all seem to have the potential to absorb all of your free time for the forseeable future, then cast that idea aside and come and view this one with confidence and an open mind.
