Two large 6 volt "D" batteries provide 12 volt for house and start. Engine has all service records on board and has received regular care. Galvanic isolator, Heart interface control and inverter, electric and engine hot water. Dripless shaft bearing. The inverter is a 2500 watt Heart Interface, and incorporates a 50 amp charger, but is limited to 30 amps for shore power considerations. Seller reports fuel consumption at about 0.8 gallons of diesel per hour at 6.5 knots average. It will go faster, but it cruises well at that speed.

The main sail is in a North Sails Stack Pack with lazy jacks. The current head sail is a furling 100 high cut North Sail. The 150 Genoa was taken off this boat and bagged in 1998 so it's still in excellent condition. The boat has been sailed very lightly as the owner wasn't comfortable heeling the boat. All the sails are in good to excellent condition. All running rigging looks to be in good servicable conditon. Standing rigging appears good with split back stays to accommodate the walk-through transom and swim step. All lines are led to the cockpit through rope clutches on the cabin top with a winch on each side. Tall rig configuration adds two feet to mast height. Mast is keel stepped.

Winner - Best Value Midsize Cruiser
In my opinion Catalina Yachts has always offered a lot of boat for the money, so it was not surprising to me to find, when researching this specific model year, that the Catalina 36 Mark II won the Best Value Award for the Midsize Cruiser category in Cruising World's 1995 Boat Of The Year competition. This boat is a smart-sailing, well-built vessel with enough size and volume to provide great accommodations for doublehanded cruising and reasonable privacy even with two couples aboard.
If you’re club racing or cruising this lightly used and nicely upgraded example will meet almost anyone’s expectations for a good coastal cruising yacht. I’ve personally logged many miles on Catalina 36s and find them to be an easy boat to handle with a good turn of speed, yet roomy and luxurious inside.
The owners want to sell it this cruising season so bring offers.
