The sails have Sunbrella material sewn on the leech of all the sails so all they only need to be flaked onto the booms and left secured and protected from the sun's UV rays. No Sail covers needed.
The Standing Rigging is Norseman Style rigging rather than the Swedged Type which tends to be subject to corrosion.

Contact me for a full detailed write up from the owner. This boat is constructed with double the laminate in the hull for additional strength. It is constructed without a wood core anywhere to prevent any water from rotting the core of the decks and hull. The rudder, stanchions and shafts are all reinforced as well.
The CSY's have developed a reputation for being the toughest boats built. The owner also reinforced the deck at the main traveler to give it additional strength.

This version of the CSY Pilothouse is one of the last in the line of 20 to be built. The Table is adjustable to various sizes and can be configuered to support a double berth. Addditional cabinets were crafted into the aft cabin to provide more storage aft of the Nav' Station. Happy Xmas
The foreward cabin has storage and plenty of ventilation and a full hatch above the head. Even with the door closed to the main cabin it does not feel confining even for a 6' tall 240lb occupant. (The Broker) What is also unique are the portals that allow you to look out onto the water while laying down in the berth.
The galley is well thought out and arranged for ease of cooking while at anchor or underway. A Force 10 Stove and broiler was added as an upgrade on this boat.
CROSBY SYSTEM REFRIGERATION:
Experienced Sailors/Cruisers are aware that refrigeration is one of biggest challenges while underway. Combined with a reach-in refigerator/freezer rather than a "Reach down" ice box makes for an efficient and better means of achieving this end. This is a serious system on this boat unlike some of the smaller, less substantial systems on most newer boats.
The compressor for the system is mounted with a custom mount ON the engine to allow for smoother operation, cutting down on vibration and wear of the mechanics. To keep the system cold, it only requires 30 minutes of charging twice a day.

Commentaires du Broker
Contact me for a full detailed write up on this vessel from the owner.
In all the years I have been boating, I have yet to see a boat quite like this one! From the moment I set eyes on this yacht, the first thing that came to mind is "Blue water tough, and graceful".
This boat is impeccably maintained by the owner of the past 20 years. I can tell by speaking to him this boat has been his pride and joy and a part of his family. He and his wife have enjoyed many days sailing her on the eastern seaboard and througout the waters around Florida.
This boat has been loved from stem to stern and will need virtually nothing to carry you off to any destination on this planet and do it in comfort, speed, safety and class. What struck me as an outstanding feature is the view from the cockpit is so clear over the pilot house, as the helmsman sits high enough for very good visibility forward.
From the hull and beyond this boat is built to last by CSY Yachts. She successfully weathered the worst of Hurricane Charlie in 2004. Other boats in close proximity to her were nearly destroyed. The CSY came out with some cap-rail damage and some cosmetic repairs and was never rendered unseaworthy. Needless to say this vessel was tested in the "real world" and passed with flying colors!
I am going to be in the market for just such a vessel in the coming years. I hope I will be so lucky to come across such a beautiful boat when my time comes to sail away to points beyond!
I already envision sitting on the decks under the awning on the hook, in my deck chair, enjoying a sunset in the caribbean, feeling the tropical breezes flowing through the many hatches on board keeping us comfortable and cool! Then it was time to wake up and realize that is still a few years away for us just yet, but someone is going to live that dream on this boat very soon!
