Commentaires du Broker
The Oceanquest 35 was one of Ed Dubois' most successful designs. A quality cruiser with excellent accommodation, they came in two flavours: after and centre cockpit. This is an after-cockpit version, with twin keels and two heads. The teak decks have been renewed and look good. She's had a fair bit of use, but her quality build and fit-out remain undiminished. With her cockpit enclosure, roller-boom reefing and spacious accommodation, heating etc., she's a boat ideally suited to extended cruising, as the current owner describes:
"We first lived on our Oceanquest for 9 months in 2011, sailing round the Balearics, Corsica, and Sardinia, with our 7 month old baby, and it was an amazing experience. She is a very forgiving and extremely resistant boat, and we enjoyed exploring a lot of places on her. With the second son, in 2013, we took her for 5 months on to the French canals, and had an equally great time, albeit in slightly different surroundings.
She is set up to be sailed very comfortably by a couple of pretty much any age. With all standing rigging leading back to the cockpit, and an in-boom reefing, she is extremely simple to handle, and can be reefed down with a minimum of effort. We put side-nettings round her to keep the children safe, and her cockpit is well-protected.
She is set up to be used either as a liveaboard, or for extensive periods. The combination of additional water tanks (500 litres!) and a wind/solar charging system means great autonomy should you want it, and the hot water / heating / cockpit shower means you can live on her all year round."
