Ther are no engines currently fitted, the boat did have two Perkins P4 engines which had been removed. The owner has sourced two second hand P4 units which would cost £2,000 each plus fitting. Alternatively the engine room could be converted to additional accomodation such as a master bedroom with en-suite.

This boat is very strongly constructed with four layers of mahogany on oak frames. Three layers are diagonal lay-up with the outer layer being horizontal.

The accommodation is spacious and open plan with plenty of space to live. The decour is colourful and very adaptable, possibly 'Bohemian'. The hot-tub is unique but also very efficient. The boat is can be heated by either electric radiators using shorepower. Alternatively there is a woodburner stove in the main cabin and additional heating can be provided by the fitting of an Eberspacher unit. Hotwater is provided by heat from the electric immersion or plumbing in an engine to provide hot water.

This is a fascinating boat with loads of potential as a live-aboard. The accommodation is spacious with a very practical layout. The boat is currently without engines, however it would be easy to re-engine. Alternatively you could forget the engines and convert to a proper houseboat with aft cabin and en-suite. The boat currently has a much sought after, residential mooring on the Thames which is available for an additional £5,000. A very low premium for this kind of Thames mooring, particularly with the possibility to convert the engine room for additional living space.
Well worth an early viewing if you are looking for low cost living near London. These boat details are subject to contract.
