After almost 9 days at sea we made it to Bermuda last Saturday. We didn't move very fast (we averaged under a 100 nm a day), but it was one of the most comfortable offshore passages we've yet had.

After one week at sea, we still have nearly 200 nautical miles left to Bermuda. At the moment it looks like we'll arrive in Bermuda Saturday – just in time for the Champions League Final (If they care about that in Bermuda).

According to the latest figures published by Yachtworld it now takes 350 to 450 days to sell a boat. These are average time periods based on 132,000 boats for sale by 2525 Yacht Brokers using Yachtworld.

Plans are good; they keep us motivated to move on and discover new places. They also give Mother Nature a good old laugh and a chance to remind us who’s actually in charge when it comes, amongst other things, to cruising in a small boat.

The Boatshed 2014 Conference was held at the Excel exhibition centre during the London boat show. Boatshed offices travelled to London to share best practice, discuss ideas and develop new strategy for 2014/15.

Boatshed Scotland won the trophy for "Yacht Broker of the year" at the 2014 Boatshed Conference and Awards ceremony.

In Las Palmas we met a Danish cruiser, who lived on her boat in Las Palmas Marina. She had bought the boat in Spain six years earlier, had sailed it down to Las Palmas, and now the boat had never since been out of the marina.

Now these are really good and one of my favourite boating lunches or snacks whilst sailing along. The smell of cheese cooking is great on a boat, gets everyone hungry, including the dogs.

The 24 Hours in a liferaft has raised over 10,000 pounds so far !

Just 48 hours until 8 girls step into a liferaft for 24 hours, all for Sail4Cancer Charity. They have already collected over two and a half thousand pounds for the charity and are looking to collect a few more pennies on the day.

Talk about doing crazy things, I'm going to be living in a liferaft in winter with 7 other ladies for 24 hours!
