Yesterday I was supposed to go round to the Chantier Naval de la Landriais, just across from where I live, to take the photos of an Archambault A35. But…. had it snowed during the night… and still snowing in the morning. 20cms in the lane outside the house. No way I will get up the hill to the main road. But, I’ll start the old banger anyway to warm it up a bit. However…. The key jams and will not turn, so I have to put it in gear to stop the engine and the starter motor, disconnect the battery and dismantle the whole jing bang. Thankfully the car is so old it has no electronic gubbins, so I am in with a chance. 3 hours later…..

Smashing conditions for the local kids though, and with the schools closed its snowmen and sledging time. Even for us aged types the conditions are sometimes lovely with sun, snow, clouds and water making for some great photos. Not a great day to photograph the A35 though, so that will have to wait. Tomorrow or Sunday looks possible. Mid morning today I managed the hill and got to the office to share the fun with you. Enjoy how and while you can.
